Ethnologue 200

Download a list of the world's 200 largest languages. The Ethnologue 200 accounts for both first language (L1) and second language (L2) users, showing the total usage worldwide.

These CSV data files contain 200 rows (plus header row) with five fields:
  • ISO 639-3 code identifying each language
  • Inverted language name (e.g. Chinese, Mandarin)
  • Uninverted language name (e.g. Mandarin Chinese)
  • L1 Users, the estimated number of native speakers   
  • All Users, the estimated number of total speakers
